Learn to Read Odds
Bettors in Bangladesh typically come across three odds formats. Each one expresses the same probability in a different way.
Decimal Odds
The most common format — multiply your stake by the odds to find the total return. For example, a ৳1,000 bet at odds of 2.50 returns a total of ৳2,500.
Example (Team A wins): Decimal 2.50 = Fractional 3/2 = American +150. ৳1,000 stake → you get back ৳2,500 (৳1,500 profit + ৳1,000 stake); if you lose, ৳1,000 is gone.
Fractional Odds
This format comes from British tradition — the top number is the profit, the bottom is the stake. 3/2 means a ৳2 bet returns ৳3 in profit.
Example (Team B, favourite): Decimal 1.80 = Fractional 4/5 = American −125. ৳1,000 stake → you get back ৳1,800 (৳800 profit).
American Odds
A plus (+) number shows how much profit a ৳100 bet makes; a minus (−) number shows how much you need to bet to make ৳100 profit.
Comparison: +150 odds → ৳1,500 profit on a ৳1,000 bet. −125 → ৳125 needed to make ৳100 profit. Same match, different presentation.
